Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce Announces Buenas Tardes Luncheon: State of Hospitality & Tourism



MISSION, TX - The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its upcoming Buenas Tardes Luncheon: State of Hospitality & Tourism, proudly sponsored by J&S Construction Management, a signature event that will provide insight into the latest trends, opportunities, and developments in the hospitality and tourism industry. 


The event is set to take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mission Event Center, located at 200 N. Shary Rd., Mission, TX 78572.


“Hospitality is a big contributor to returning consumers. The business community practices this daily and it is important to accentuate what that is in our community and how it is tied to the economy,” said Brenda Enriquez, President & CEO of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce. “As a growing destination for travelers, Mission continues to offer incredible opportunities for development and collaboration. This event will highlight those possibilities.”


The program will feature industry experts and community leaders sharing updates. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with peers and explore ways to strengthen Mission's position as a hub for tourism and hospitality.

Mission, Texas to Host Inaugural Citrus Sip-Off: A People’s Choice Cocktail Competition



MISSION, TX - The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Texas Citrus Fiesta, is proud to announce the inaugural Citrus Sip-Off: A People’s Choice Cocktail Competition. This premier event celebrates Mission’s rich citrus heritage through innovative cocktails, fine cuisine, and community involvement, highlighting the spirit of the Texas Citrus Fiesta.


Event Details:

  • Date: Friday, January 24th, 2025
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Location: The Bryan House, 1113 E. Mile 2 Rd., Mission, Texas
  • Tickets: $100 per person (only 70 tickets available)


This exclusive event invites guests to enjoy citrus-inspired cocktails crafted by talented mixologists while sampling gourmet food and beverages in one of Mission’s most historic venues. Attendees will have the opportunity to cast their vote to crown the Signature Cocktail of the Annual Citrus Ball, adding an interactive and engaging element to the evening.


“This event is a celebration of Mission’s rich citrus heritage and its ability to inspire creativity and connection within our community,” said Brenda Enriquez, President & CEO of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to host this exciting competition and showcase the talents of local mixologists while offering our guests a memorable experience in one of Mission’s most historic venues.”


The Citrus Sip-Off serves as a precursor to the Texas Citrus Fiesta, one of Mission’s most cherished events, which brings together residents and visitors to celebrate the city’s history, culture, and citrus industry.
