Registration Now Open for the
2019 AEDCE Annual Conference

The Arkansas Economic Developers & Chamber Executives (AEDCE) Annual Conference is the premier annual gathering of economic development and chamber professionals in Arkansas. This conference is THE place for chamber professionals and economic developers to gain classroom knowledge as well as glean wisdom from their peers while building their professional network.

This year's conference will be held August 25 - 27 in historic Fort Smith, Arkansas! We are very excited to be back in Fort Smith and have some wonderful sessions and conference activities and events planned! 

Events at the AEDCE Annual Conference include the Annual AEDCE Awards Luncheon, Golf Tournament (additional fee), Networking Building Reception (Monday evening), the State of the State Breakfast featuring Mike Preston, and insightful general and breakout sessions tailored for the chamber or economic development professional (conference sessions will begin Monday morning, August 26th, and conclude on Tuesday afternoon, August 27th).

AEDCE Annual Awards

Each year at the AEDCE Annual Conference, we take the opportunity to recognize exemplary leadership and service to the chamber/economic development profession. Arkansas is blessed with some amazing chamber & economic development professionals and community volunteers! We invite you to help honor their hard work and achievements.

Awards are based on nominations received from members of AEDCE and are presented in four categories:

  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Outstanding Economic Developer
  • Outstanding Chamber Executive
  • Maria Haley Lifetime Leadership for Economic Development

Awards will be presented at the AEDCE Annual Conference on Monday, August 26th in Fort Smith.

To nominate someone for an AEDCE award, please complete the nomination packet by Friday, July 5th.

The 2019 Breakthrough Solutions Conference & Pre-Conference will be held on June 25 & 26 in central Arkansas. In an ever-connected global economy, successful communities are those that are connected – within their community, region, nation, and world. This conference will explore this notion of connectedness through the activities geared towards economic & community developers at the local, regional, and state level.

Delta Regional Authority
Delta Workforce Program

The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) Delta Workforce Program is an initiative designed to build long-term community capacity and increase economic competitiveness across the Mississippi River Delta region and Alabama Black Belt.

Grant opportunities are available for DRA Communities and two Technical Assistance Workshops will be held in June to equip potential applicants with tools and resources necessary to develop and implement comprehensive workforce development programs.
