New PATA Visitor Forecast 2022-2024 Full Report Released!   

Following on from the release of the Executive Summary at the end of last month, the PATA Asia Pacific Visitor Forecasts 2022-2024 Full Report has been released this week. The forecast saw a positive development after two years of challenges, despite much obstacles remain to be overcome for full revitalisation. Moving forward to 2024, International Visitor Arrivals (IVAs) growth over the next three years is projected to be positive.  Read more >

Club Med to Open 17 New All-Inclusive Resorts by 2024


Soon to be part of the brand's Exclusive Collection—defined by its premier accommodations and gourmet cuisine perfectly fit for both families and couples will be opened in destinations as far-reaching as Hokkaido, Japan; Marbella, Spain; and Malaysian Borneo.

In 2021, the company opened four new locations in Seychelles, Lijiang in Yunnan province, Québec, and La Rosière (French Alps).

Resort in Phuket, Thailand will be among the already-existing locations to undergo renovation and extension.


Cruise Update


CDC downgrades its travel alert on cruise ships to Level 3

Level 3 signifies a destination with a "high level of Covid-19," and advises that travelers ensure they are fully vaccinated before traveling and that unvaccinated people avoid nonessential travel.

The CDC upped the health notice to Level 4 in December, as the Covid-19 omicron variant began to sweep the country.

Langkawi, Malaysia is an island paradise that has delighted millions of tourists from across the world with its natural beauty, its myths, its unique flora and fauna and the warm hospitality of its people. Known for its exotic wildlife, tropical plants and rock formation as old as earth, the archipelago remains relatively pristine, with most of its 99 islands protected from major development.

The island is currently open to fully-vaccinated travelers entering from Malaysia through the Langkawi International Travel Bubble. Malaysia has recently announced its plan to reopen borders to all visitors in March 2022 with no mandatory quarantine. Check out the latest updates >
