It seems like a lot of media outlets these days are trying to antagonize us into a rage, that is, when they’re not shouting commercials at us. But count on KVMR to be your Radio Oasis. KVMR is here to let you know timely information in emergencies and play great music as the soundtrack to your life. We’re not trying to sell you something, and we’re not trying to raise your blood pressure for ratings. In fact, KVMR doesn't even have ratings. We know we're serving our community when listeners enjoy the music and turn to us in emergencies. There's no higher rating than your support.

Starting this Friday, we are having our "Radio Oasis" membership drive. If you think public air is still a valuable part of civic life, we hope you'll take a minute and support us today.

And THANK YOU for 43 years of magic on the air. We couldn't (and wouldn't) do it without you. We love you, KVMR family! DONATE NOW

"You’re our connection to sanity (and, yes, sometimes insanity....) Keep up the good work!" Sarah, Nevada City

"Listening to KVMR while living at Lake Tahoe brought me down the hill to a Emmy Lou concert at the Fairgrounds many moons ago. My wife, Vanessa, and I moved here six months later." Michael, Grass Valley

"Just keep on doing what you are doing!" Theresa, Sacramento

"Who needs drugs when you can imbibe mind-altering music! County Line Bluegrass! Hot damn!" Jim, Brooks

"Thank you for all the great variety of music and programming. My 13 year old son gets to hear a bit of everything as we drive to and from school. It teaches him there's more to music than Top 40.” Julie, Santa Ana
“The weird music inspired me to call in. I hope I can pitch in today for somebody who can’t.” Niki, Nevada City

"An essential community resource! I discover new music and awesome DJs every week. Thank you for all your hard work and keeping our town funky and full of good vibes!" Shannon, Nevada City

"KVMR is such a great station... it's off the wall, unique and I always come back to it." Philip, San Juan Capistrano

"Half a continent away I always look forward to whatever KVMR's DJs bring when I make the family's Saturday morning pancakes. I was delighted to discover the station when living as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Sacramento 20 years ago and am so glad the internet allowed me to keep listening here in Minnesota." Jerad, Northfield MN

“I listen every time I drive back and forth to the mountains from the bay." Toni, Berkeley

"I moved from Nevada City recently, and am so glad I can continue listening to the “local” station I love. Plus, love your archive. I can listen to endless programing suited to my musical tastes and moods." Greg, South Lake Tahoe

"I live in Vancouver, WA & my pops lives in Pilot Hill, CA. We listen every Friday to Hap Hazard. We consider ourselves music “experts” and love analyzing every song on Hap’s show. We are available any time for suggestions!" Kari, Vancouver
