Caroline Spillane CDir | Wednesday, 7 February 2024

Dear Anne,

Board dynamics. Behavioural patterns. Boardroom biases.

These are significant items that a lot of directors can face around a boardroom. Being able to manage and adapt to differing behaviours can be key in ensuring an effective board.

At IoD Ireland, we design, develop and deliver learning and development opportunities to members and directors that will continue to make a real difference.

For this reason, the IoD Ireland CPD framework for directors has a core dimension on the psychology of the boardroom. This dimension aims to help directors understand the emotional undercurrents, behavioural influences, and subconscious reactions that impact board effectiveness.

To meet this growing competency need, I am delighted to launch our new short programme - Psychology of the Boardroom led by Dr Wieke Scholten.

This new programme - designed specifically for board directors - will empower directors to gain the confidence to contribute positively to boardroom dynamics.

If you would like to learn more about the programme, a member of our Learning and Development team would be happy to discuss this with you. Simply reply to this email and we will be in touch.
