Formal memberships in the Dana Point Boaters Association (DPBA) exist now. Your previous interactions qualify you as a member in good standing through December 31, 2024. With your membership, you can enjoy behind-the-scenes access to our website.

Rallying Against Rising Rates: Newport Harbor
As you know, Newport Harbor mooring boaters have been dealing with the same kind of massive rent increases as Dana Point slip holders. The holders of those mooring contracts have vocally, legally, and politically raised a storm of protests, and as a result, they have at least temporarily delayed the increase. Please watch the below link from the CCC meeting regarding rates in Newport Beach. It starts at 1:18:55. https://cal-span.org/meeting/ccc_20241009/ You will see the boaters have received significant sympathy from the Coastal Commissioners.
Your DPBA works to create that kind of support to avoid these unjustified rate raises, but we need the boaters’ vocal and monetary support.
Thank you for your generous contributions. If you donated to the DPBA’s Legal Fund or purchased merchandise from the last year, you are exempt from the 2025 annual membership fee. If you have previously donated, please check your email or stay tuned for our GoDaddy DPBA invitation to create your private online account. Contributing to the Legal Fund now will accomplish two things at once:
- You will get a full membership for 2025.
- You will help us continue our pursuit of justice for boaters against excessive, non-market slip fees.
