Directory of Best Practices

We are happy to announce that the Directory of Best Practices Resources is now up and running at http://bestpractices.teslontario.org.

The Directory provides support for practitioners in ESL and FSL. Instructors can find lesson plans, digital tools, games, and support material in at least 24 context areas of instruction or support (to name a few!). Administrators can find resources to support their programming needs. Planning a new curriculum or updating lesson plans? This is a great starting place. Links and resources are regularly checked and added to when appropriate.

A TESL Ontario webinar on how to use the Directory of Best Practices will be available Sunday, February 25 through the TESL Ontario webinar series. Click here for more information.

If you have questions or comments please contact [email protected].

Winter Wellness Moment
Prescription to Consider...

Winter.... some of us love it. Some long for spring. No matter which camp you're in, it's especially important to take care of your health in winter.

Even if our new year resolutions include healthy living, in winter it can be particularly hard to find the time or maybe the motivation. Work and studies ramp up, family calendars fill in, and personal and professional to-do lists get in the way. There's no magic pill for stretching the hours in your day, but according to Dr. Mike Evans of St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, there is medicine we should all regularly take.

This 5-minute clip aptly titled 23 and 1/2 Hours is worth a look.

Whether your idea of the perfect winter day is outside in the fresh air, hours by the fire with a good book, or a travel adventure, Dr. Evans offers a prescription that works...in any season!
