The health and well being of our members and staff is of the utmost importance to our organization and we've elevated our efforts during the rapidly evolving coronavirus outbreak. Throughout this time we encourage our members to maintain their health and safety while enacting preventative measures to limit the spread of the virus. Please review the guidelines offered by
federal,
state and
local authorities and
utilize our resource page on our website.
With this in mind, the Shawnee Chamber has determined it imperative to postpone all upcoming external meetings and events through April 5th. This includes events such as:
- A.M. Connects
- Business After Hours
- Membership Luncheons
- Shawnee Tomorrow Leadership
- Ribbon Cuttings
- Committee Meetings
We will provide specific updates on each event as we finalize details and determine an expanded action plan.
As we progress through this uncertain period of economic activity our organization will continue to advocate for small business relief and support at our local, state and federal levels.
We will provide and communicate information as we receive it and encourage you to follow our social media accounts and pay extra attention to our emails. We will explore ways to allow members to connect, share insights and disseminate content during this time. It is our priority to share best business practices and ideas to enable our business community to remain healthy.
Additionally, we suggest a revisit of your digital content plans and encourage you to promote any impacts on your business hours and programming. Should you find anything especially helpful or would like us to promote your information, please don't hesitate to share it with our staff.
We know this is a fast-moving issue and will be on rapid alert to respond to our members' needs.
Best,
Shawnee Chamber President | CEO
