Legislative Wrap-Up
The Wyoming Legislature is nearly finished with the 2021 session. Due to the two snow days taken earlier in the session, the legislature will recess for a three-day weekend and reconvene April 6-7 for two final days. These days will be primarily spent on concurrences, conference committees, and awaiting Governor actions on bills in the event they want to override vetoes.

WMS worked hard this session on behalf of our members. A comprehensive 2021 legislative summary that covers highlights and key takeaways from the session is now available for your reading pleasure.

We would be remiss if we didn't express our deep gratitude and appreciation to the leadership of the House and Senate and chairmen of the committees with whom we work so closely. This session wasn't an easy one and they did a tremendous job of leading with grace and using their experience and wisdom to guide the actions of the legislature. Please make an effort to thank your legislators for the work they do and give an extra hat tip to the members of leadership listed below. Thank you!

House Speaker Eric Barlow (R - Gillette)
Majority Floor Leader Albert Sommers (R - Pine Dale)
House Labor, Health and Social Services Chairman Sue Wilson (R - Cheyenne)
House Judiciary Chairman Jared Olson (R - Cheyenne)
House Corporations Chairman Dan Zwonitzer (R - Cheyenne)

WYFI - Mini Grants Available
Mini-grants are now available to help Wyoming families offset the costs of technology for their children's telehealth medical appointments. Telehealth is the use of technology to provide healthcare at a distance. This usually takes the form of video visits, but it can also include remote patient monitoring or phone calls. Telehealth visits are similar in many ways to in-person appointments.

Criteria for Wyoming families to participate:
● Participate in 2 online training sessions (via Zoom)
● Demonstrated need (child w/ special health care needs, upcoming therapy sessions and/or medical appointments that could be completed via Telehealth)

American Rescue Plan
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra announced that additional savings and lower health care costs are available for consumers on HealthCare.gov. The American Rescue Plan (ARP) has increased tax credits available to consumers, helping to reduce premiums and giving consumers access to affordable health care coverage.
