WMS Annual Meeting
Survey Request
The Office of Governor Mark Gordon is leading efforts for the Wyoming Governor's Challenge which is focused on suicide prevention across Wyoming. Wyoming has been partnering with several other states and national partners to help support service members, veterans, and their families. Wyoming's Governor's Challenge is currently moving into the implementation phases of our projects. One of our projects is to determine what types of training are occurring in Wyoming and then find a way to better coordinate efforts across the state. Our first step is to conduct a survey to determine who is training and what curriculums are being utilized.

Upon completion of the survey, we will be compiling the information and initiating a statewide training dashboard to help inform communities about training opportunities. We hope to provide a platform that is easy to use and encourages more community members to be trained in suicide prevention techniques in order to support our friends, families, and neighbors.
Wyoming Updates
The WDH Public Health Division purchased American Academy of Pediatrics licenses for ALL Wyoming providers to access Bright Futures Tools & Resource Kits, 4th Edition.
Bright Futures: Guidelines for Health Supervision of Infants, Children, and Adolescents, 4th Edition is an essential resource that provides health care professionals with updated background and recommendations for pediatric health promotion, health supervision, and anticipatory guidance for 31 age-based visits. The 4th Edition builds upon previous editions with thoroughly revised and updated content that reflects the latest research. It presents a new focus on the social determinants of health and on lifelong physical and mental health. The Bright Futures/AAP Periodicity Schedule presents (in chart form) the screenings, assessments, physical examinations, procedures, and timing of anticipatory guidance recommended for each age-based visit in the Bright Futures Guidelines, 4th Edition.

To access the toolkit please email: mchinfo@wyo.gov.
Colorectal Cancer Screening
The Wyoming Medical Society is encouraging physicians to join in the effort to promote colorectal cancer screening to save lives.
WMS is encouraging every physician in the state to visit the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) ‘Colorectal Cancer Screening Appropriate Use’ web page to download some great patient education resources, including a printable office/practice poster, patient letter templates (for positive and negative test results), and an article for local newspapers.
