Physician of the Year - Call for Nominations

Please help us in recognizing this year's Wyoming Physician of the Year by nominating the most deserving physicians today.

If you would like to participate in the nomination process, please fill out and return the form below. Forms should be returned to info@wyomed.org or you can mail your nomination to WMS at PO Box 4009, Cheyenne, WY 82001. The deadline to nominate a doctor for Physician of the Year is March 2, 2020.

We need volunteers for the 2020 Legislative Session!

We currently need volunteers for the following dates: Feb 18 Feb 21 Feb 24-26 Feb 28 Mar 2-6 Mar 9-12 If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions about the process, please email info@wyomed.org. Volunteer openings are updated in real time on the WMS Website. The 2020 Legislative Session is scheduled to run from February 10 to March 12 .

WDH Seeking Creative Healthcare Solutions

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) is seeking applications for creative healthcare solutions meant to help address certain common healthcare challenges found in Wyoming.   The Wyoming Legislature made a one-time appropriation of $1 million last year for a healthcare innovation studies project. WDH was tasked with setting rules, selecting from applicants and administering the fund.   Studies hoping for support from the fund must have at least one of the following goals: Reduce costs associated with long-term care, chronic disease or other healthcare services to the state of Wyoming Allow individuals in need of long-term care to remain in their homes and communities Develop necessary long-term care or other healthcare services in Wyoming Use broadband internet to access healthcare services   The department is accepting applications for the project, which must be received by June 30. WWAMI Position Opening Deadline for Applications - January 31st

Dr. Kirven is serving as the Assistant Clinical Dean for the Wyoming WWAMI program until June 2020. WWAMI is seeking applicants to fill his position.

Larry E. Kirven, MD, who has served as the Wyoming WWAMI Assistant Clinical Dean since 2013 will be retiring from this position June 1, 2020.  Dr. Kirven will continue as the WRITE Program Director, but the University of Washington School of Medicine is actively seeking applicants to fill the position of assistant clinical dean for the Wyoming WWAMI program. The description of the assistant clinical dean position and the application process may be accessed by using the following link.
