May 25th
Memorial Day 2020
The Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders encourages county residents to reflect on the sacrifice of those who went to war in the service of our nation. Today, May 25th, is a somber day to ponder the sacrifices of those who serve year round, especially during the global pandemic.

Freeholder Deputy Director and Veteran's Liaison Susan J. Soloway said, "We should never forget the men and women in the military who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. There are several monuments and memorials throughout Hunterdon County. Visiting a memorial or monument is a respectful way to honor the fallen."
Operation Gratitude
Memorial Day is a perfect day to send a letter or care package to Deployed Troops, Veterans, a new recruit or Wounded Warrior. COVID-19 has not stopped our troops for serving and there are many ways to show them we care. Postcards, social media posts of gratitude, virtual volunteerism and donations through are just a few of the opportunities to show our military men and women that we care.
