Memorial Day Closing and Saturday Hours
Woodbridge Libraries, which are closed on Monday, Memorial Day, will add Saturday hours beginning June 5th-- the Main Library will be open from 1 - 5 pm, and Branch Libraries will open from 10 am - 1 pm.

New Jersey Governor Murphy's Executive Orders and Woodbridge Town Hall notice have announced that vaccinated members of the public are now supported in making a personal choice on social distancing and the use of masks. Library visitors are asked to join the staff in their daily health checks for COVID symptoms or fever, social distance whenever possible and to take free advantage of the sanitizer stations and masks-by-request of all service points.

Unvaccinated visitors and children, ages 2-11 are encouraged to visit and must wear a mask.

The Township will hold two vaccination clinics at the Woodbridge Health Center next week on Wednesday from 10-2 and Friday from 3-6. Walk-ins will be accepted but appointments still can be made by calling 732 855 0600 extension 5004. (Click HERE for additional resources),

June's Book Box - Beach Reads!

Book Boxes allow you the chance to read a library book you may not have picked yourself! For each month our librarians have selected a theme and will put books, across all genres, into these boxes that fit that theme.

Participants will still need to check out the book like they would any other library materials and loan periods still apply. No registration is required, first come first served. Book Boxes will be available at all locations--Main, Iselin, Fords, and Inman.

This month's book boxes are all about the beach! These fiction picks, across all genres, will get us reacquainted with the beach as we return to our favorite shore spots!

Kick off Pride month with a special author talk! WPL is celebrating Pride with LGBT+ author K.D. Edwards, who will join us via Zoom to discuss his life, his writing, LGBT+ representation in Science Fiction, and more. Whether you are already a fan, are looking to discover something new, or are just interested in LGBT+ representation in fiction, this program is open and welcoming to all!

Join author and photographer Kevin Woyce for a colorful tour of New Jersey's coastal history, from the long-ago days of lighthouses and shipwrecks to the founding of today's most popular summer resorts. The slide show includes his original photography of Jersey Shore lighthouses, amusement parks, boardwalks, and hotels, plus vintage maps and images of historic people, places, and events.

This presentation covers special needs planning, including the importance of estate planning, the use of special needs trusts, options for selecting trustees, ways to fund a special needs trust, knowing when a guardianship may be appropriate, alternatives to guardianship, and an overview of government benefits like social security, Medicaid, other entitlements. The goal of this presentation is to educate families who have a child, grandchild, or even a sibling with a disability.

Dear Library Friends and Patrons,

WPL welcomes you to visit our libraries in person. Please click HERE for hours by location which will now include some Saturday hours in all locations beginning this week. We encourage you to continue to monitor Woodbridge Township Health Department news via the Mayor's Code Red announcements and CDC updates to guide your use of library resources and programs. Our homepage,, is updated regularly as our community services begin to open up.

Here are some updates about new and continuing services:

  • Notary services are available. We recommend calling the branch you would like to visit ahead.
  • Book drops are open 24/7 in the Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin Branch libraries should you wish to make sure the books are returned without entering. We are checking books after a 3-day quarantine, but no fees are during the hold period.
  • Librarians continue to staff a Chat Information service from 10 am - 8 pm, Monday through Thursday and 10 am - 6 pm on Fridays.
  • Library staff members are monitoring the Ask-A-Librarian e-mail service to update library cards and are happy to assist with digital resources.
  • Library staff members are creating and sharing informational and educational social media posts. If you don't follow us yet, this would be a great time to like us on FacebookTwitter or Instagram.
