Affordable Pet Vaccination Clinic at Lake County Animal Care and Control

Pet Clinics

All dogs and cats in Lake County are required to be vaccinated against rabies and registered. Low-cost pet vaccinations are an affordable way to keep pets up to date with their shots and be in compliance with the rabies vaccination/registration requirements. 


On a limited basis and by appointment only, Lake County residents can receive low-cost rabies and distemper vaccinations for their pets at Lake County Animal Care and Control, 18736 West Peterson Road, Libertyville. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 847-377-4700.

Affordable Teeth Cleaning At CLC in Waukegan

Find affordable dental care in downtown Waukegan on CLC’s Lakeshore Campus. Students in the CLC Dental Hygiene program clean your teeth and take x-rays, all under the supervision of registered dental hygienists. A licensed dentist conducts the dental exam.

Cleanings and exams

The dental clinic is a place of learning for dental hygiene students. Students provide the following preventive services under the supervision of Registered Dental Hygienists and Dentists. Services include:

  • Teeth cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Fluoride application
  • Pit and fissure sealants
  • Teeth whitening
  • Dental examinations

Mundelein Memorial Day Parade

Mundelein hosts its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM. The procession departs from the Metra Station (205 N. Archer Ave.), heads west on Division Street and north on Pershing Avenue, and concludes at Memorial Park for a solemn remembrance program.

Parade & Ceremony Details

  • Start Time: 10:00 AM
  • Line-up/Formation: Participants gather at 9:15 AM at the Metra Station.
  • Route: West on Division Street, north on North Pershing Avenue, ending at Memorial Park.
  • Concluding Ceremony: Following the parade, a formal observance is held at Memorial Park featuring prayers, music by the Mundelein High School band, and a rifle salute.

Important Participant Guidelines

  • This is a solemn, respectful event; campaign signage, candy distribution, and promotional pamphlets are prohibited.
  • Parking along the parade route will be suspended, and vehicles must be moved prior to 6:00 AM on the day of the event.

Wauconda Memorial Day Parade

The 73rd Annual Wauconda Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026, sponsored by the American Legion Post 911.

Key Event Details:

  • Start Time: Parade "steps off" at 10:00 a.m. (staging begins at 8:30 a.m. at Wauconda High School).
  • Route: The procession travels down Main Street and concludes at Memorial Park (at Main Street and Route 176).
  • Remembrance Ceremony: A solemn Memorial Day ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Memorial Park.
  • Beach Bash: After the parade, you can head to Lindy's Landing Restaurant & Marina for their annual Memorial Day Parade and Beach Party celebration.

Kirk Players Presents All in the Timing

Tighthead Mundelein Grand Prix July 20, 2026

The Tighthead Mundelein Grand Prix presented by Garden Fresh Market returns to Mundelein on July 20, 2026. The action-packed day runs from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, featuring back-to-back races throughout the day.


This year’s event will continue in its temporary location. Due to construction in the Village Hall Subdivision, the bike race will once again take place in the neighborhood south of Courtland Commons.


All event activities and the main stage will be located within Courtland Commons. Activities include food and expo vendors, a beer garden, live music, a kids’ area, chalk art for all ages, and much more. It’s the perfect summer outing for families, friends, and anyone looking for something fun and unique. Last year’s event drew 400 racers, 1,500 spectators, and 140 volunteers throughout the day.

Recycling Drop-Off Available

You can recycle the following items in the shed located in our front parking lot:

  • Bedding and pet items (leashes, collars, toys, pet food, etc.) for dogs
  • Shoes
  • Yarn
  • American flags (for proper retirement)
  • Eyeglasses and hearing aids
