On July 25th, we tragically lost Magdalena Jablonska in a boating incident on the Fox River in McHenry, and now, we invite you to come together as a community to honor her remarkable legacy.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, we will gather at the McHenry Dam for a heartfelt Memorial Service that promises to reflect the strength and spirit of our collective gratitude. We are proud to announce that the Sons of The American Legion Riders will be in attendance, and our dedicated First Responder Community will provide a Rifle Detail to salute Maggie's bravery. The touching notes of TAPS will be performed by talented students from McHenry High School, while the Women Marine Association will share inspiring words about her service. Our Chaplain will lead us in prayer, and a Bag Piper will fill the air with solemn melodies.
We warmly encourage all citizens along the Fox River Chain, especially boaters, to join this tribute, as we plan for a family member to lay a wreath in the water at this sacred location.
This is a call to all veterans, first responders, and families to unite in remembrance and support, reaffirming our commitment to honoring Maggie's service as a Marine and her dedication to our community. Together, let us ensure that her memory lives on, and that we stand as one in honoring our fallen hero.
