Mark Your Calendars- It's a BBQ!
Join us for a Friendship BBQ honoring the new members we have gained and welcome our teachers and school families back to school. Sunday, 18 August, 12:30 PM- 2:00 PM.
Delicious Texas BBQ, potato salad, and
good company
will be provided. Please bring a side to share with your fellow members and guests.
Keep an eye out for the Fellowship table in the Commons between services to sign-up for a side or dessert or to volunteer to help the day of the BBQ.
We are also looking for a few good Lutherans to help with clean-up afterward. Remember many hands make for light work!
See YOU there!

Ask, and It Will Be Given to You
The disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray, and He replies with the prayer so familiar to us: "Our Father..." These first words tell us that God is our Father, a Father who is quick to hear our voice, and never reluctant to give. What does He give? First, we know that God gives daily bread to all people, without their asking-He provides clothing, shoes, food, drink, and the like for everyone. But Jesus emphasizes that our Father provides for His children, body and soul: He also gives us His Holy Spirit. And this is the fullest and surest answer to our prayers. This Father who gives us our daily bread, also gives us forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation; given for the sake of His Son, by the Holy Spirit.
