How Bad is the Struggle?
For the Christian, the struggle with sin is not hypothetical, but real. The question is not if we struggle, the question is: how bad is the struggle? Or perhaps, how often do we struggle?
Interpreting our struggle can be difficult. Christians may misinterpret trials and tribulations as an indication that God has abandoned us, when, in fact, he has not. In fact, he will not!
The Father will never forsake nor abandon the Christian. This is true not because of the Christian's spiritual strength or faith, but because of God's strength and his faithfulness to his promises. Promises which ultimately have come to their fulfillment in the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
