Jesus Seeks You Out
When you lose something of great value, you search for it until you find it. In Sunday's Gospel lesson, Jesus speaks of losing things that, quite frankly, don't seem to be all that important. In both cases, it seems like the people involved still have plenty-ninety-nine sheep, nine coins-and yet, they leave everything to seek out the one that is lost. You were lost to sin. And yet, instead of forgetting about you, the lost sheep, Jesus sought you out, brought you back and rejoiced greatly upon your return to His sheepfold.
