From the Pastor
Made to Be Like Him
Jesus' claims bring our fallenness to rise to the surface, with the result that we do our best (which truly is our worst) to make him to be just like one of us, to bring him to our common deathly end before any of us can think anything else of Jesus. The rub is, however, that our killing Jesus off, in the end, kills us all. His death is our death, meaning that our fallenness has sunk to rock bottom and been brought to its end, and he has done his best to make us to be just like him-without sin-before any of us can think anything else of ourselves.

Not only does the Resurrection confirm Jesus' claims concerning himself; it also confirms no other thought at our disposal concerning ourselves. We are now made to be just like him-without sin. May we join in praise!
