What the Father abundantly promises, Jesus the Son graciously provides in His death and resurrection for you, and then the Spirit joyfully brings all that to you in the Word and Gifts of Jesus. That's what the Apostles Creed confesses from the Holy Scriptures.  Higher Things ®  We All Believe Vacation Bible School delivers all that to your children over a 5-day curriculum, which is specifically designed to highlight the knowledge and enthusiasm of your church's youth for God's Word.
Volunteers are needed: sign up here.
Please see Pastor Pacey or Rev. Gaub for more information.

From the Vicar
So Long, Farewell

There is usually a bit of angst when someone receives their vicarage assignment, especially when that somewhere is far away from home. For me that angst was increased because I was being cast out of my ivory tower, away from my textbooks and research of philosophical, cultural and textual minutiae that no one else cares about (nor should they).

I would like to thank you as a congregation for receiving a fledgling like myself into your midst. Memorial has presented many preaching and teaching opportunities that have helped me grow. My vicarage would not have been as successful without the love that you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, have shown me in your words of appreciation, helpful feedback, financial support, and companionship.

Whenever I receive my first call (as I plan to pursue further education after obtaining my M.Div.), know that my experience at Memorial was integral in getting me to that point.

Yours in Christ, Blake Martzowka
Sunday's Scripture Readings & Hymns

A Very Vicar Welcome
We will give Vicar Hill a gift basket when he arrives to welcome him to Memorial. Donations of restaurant gift cards, grocery store gift cards, pantry items, or cash will be accepted for the next few weeks.  Please see or give donations to Vonda Tackett or Tessa Pernoud on Sunday or contact
Vonda or Tessa  to coordinate another time. The gift basket will be assembled and given to him the Sunday of his installation.
Full-Time Membership Secretary Position Available at Memorial Lutheran Church

Candidates must be a Christian (preferably LCMS member), with a love for the details, as well as editing, spelling, and grammatical skills. Prefer experience with Publisher or other graphic design software, Word, and Excel, as well as a willingness to work with and troubleshoot technology and equipment. Please submit your resume and cover letter to [email protected].
If you have suggestions about things that you'd like to see in the Memorial Messenger, please let the office staff know. We would love to hear from you.
