From the Vicar
The Hospital of the Church
The Church has often been described as a hospital, because like a hospital, it's full of sick people who need healing. We're all sick with sin. But, recognizing our sin, we come to the church to confess our sickness and receive true healing from the Doctor, Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can bind our wounds with His words of forgiveness, who can feed us the medicine of immortality, His very body and blood. He is the true Healer who has vanquished all sickness and death, precisely by taking on our sickness, and humbling Himself unto death, even death on a cross. The sickness of sin may feel overwhelming at times, and your disease may look fatal-but take heart, your Doctor's nail-scarred hands have never failed to heal and to bring life.
