Money tells us what we value. It is a medium of exchange. People often say, "Pastor, you should never talk about money from the pulpit." The problem is that the Bible often talks about money; such as in this Sunday's gospel lesson, Luke 16:1-15. Money becomes an analogy of the value of the blood of Jesus Christ. The blood of Christ is a payment for sin. It is a medium of exchange. In the economic transaction of exchange, blood is paid for us sinners to buy us back from sin. Jesus, the holy Son of God exchanges Himself for the sons of men. How powerful the generosity of Jesus is! He values us sinners so greatly that He is willing to put Himself into the balance against our depravity to raise us to Himself. What do we value, if He has valued us so?
MLS is gauging interest in a special spring fundraiser, a Sporting Clay Tournament. Benefits from this event would go towards Little Lambs Scholarship Fund. An email was sent out to church and school families with the link, but in case you didn't receive it, please consider filling out
this survey to determine the level of interest in this event. Should there be enough interest, we can secure a date and time for the event. Thank you!
