From the Pastor
Who is the Christ?  This is the most important question there is.  When Jesus put the question to his disciples, Peter answered for the group and declared Jesus to be the Christ.  Peter gets the name right (Jesus is the Christ), yet he gets it wrong in that he does not understand what it means.  We have this same problem today.  Many are willing to say Jesus is the Christ, but then fill in the meaning in ways that Jesus does not allow.  Thankfully, Jesus is the Christ and he knows what it means to be the Christ.  The Christ is the one who came not to abolish God's Law, but to fulfill it.  The Christ is the one who was betrayed, suffered, and died for us and for our salvation.  May this Christ alone be the one we confess in all of our thoughts, words and deeds.

What's New, Telugu?
The members of the MLC Telugu community are very blessed to have an opportunity to receive God's gifts of Word and Sacraments and become members of the church family. We currently have several Telugu families attending Adult Instruction. We reached our first financial goal of $5,000. Our hearty thanks to you all for your gifts and generosity. Our second financial goal for 2015 is $10,000 by the end of the April. We also received a grant of $12,000 to attend to the humanitarian needs of our Telugu community. I humbly request your continuous prayers, support and encouragement as we progress in this vital ministry at Memorial. God's rich blessings on you and your families!
In Christ,
Pastor Sagar Pilli.
