From the Pastor
Why too many gods?
(John 10:22-30)
There are too many gods out there. Too many gods exist in the world because of too many beliefs. All gods are not true because all beliefs are not true. All gods cannot be one God because one true God doesn't want to divide himself into many gods. By worshiping many gods a person commits the error of reducing or dividing the indivisible "Divine Essence." In our gospel text Jesus tells the Jews that it is not possible for them to believe in Him, because of their unbelief. While human being are able to produce unbelief, God is able to produce faith! When God gives the gift of faith to people, He makes them believe in Him, to be the sheep of His pasture. To be in His pasture means receiving all His gifts, including the gift of eternal life that is imperishable. Amen.

Give Life
The last few Mays, we held blood drives and MLC donated a total of 85 units of blood to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. These were record years for MLC as we were donating in honor of a fellow member. It's that time of year again--Please consider donating blood on 1 May between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM in our school gym. Sign up for a time slot by contacting Tessa by responding to this email, or 713 782 6079,  or visit the table in the Commons between services on Sunday.
Thank you to those of you who will take a few minutes of your time to GIVE LIFE.
If you have suggestions about things that you'd like to see in the Memorial Messenger, please let the office staff know. We would love to hear from you.
