Welcome Back from Spring Break Soldiers! Can you believe we are in our final term for the 23-24 school year?

As we start out this term, it is important for students to remember that each term we start a new page. This is your opportunity to right your wrongs and choose a better path than the prior term. Choose to come to school on time, choose to do better in class, choose a better attitude. Students who stay positive and do the right thing will have many great opportunities this term. We are planning field trips, our 8th grade social, an after hours dance, pep rally and field day fun for students who make good choices. If you choose poorly, you will miss out on these opportunities.
With all the fun we have planned, there is always something to balance the fun and this term that is TESTING. This term students need to focus on being in school and doing their absolute best on upcoming state and district testing. Many of these tests are included in your final grades for classes and if not completed or not passed, could put students in danger of being retained.

We know that all our SOLDIERS are capable of greatness and passing these tests. We just need everyone to focus and show us your GREATNESS!

Sincerely,

Eddie Foster
Proud Principal

FREE Tax Preparation - Heart of Florida United Way:
VITA offers free tax help to those who make $73,000 or less and need assistance in preparing their tax returns.
Benefits of Filing Your Taxes with VITA:

1. Volunteers are IRS-certified: Our volunteers are trained and certified annually by the IRS to accurately prepare our neighbors’ taxes.

2. Save the dollars you earned: Our VITA volunteers want to help you save the dollars our community members earned by providing this service for FREE! Instead of paying to file their taxes, the dollars people save filing with VITA can go toward food, rent, and other basic needs.

3. Take advantage of available tax credits: VITA also provides essential information to verify if you are eligible for any tax credits including the federal Earned Income Tax Credit to help maximize tax refunds.

4. Virtual VITA sites are available: There is a virtual option available at select VITA sites where you can bring your tax documents to be scanned by a VITA volunteer. Then, our certified volunteer tax preparer will complete the return for you remotely and will contact you for a final review before filing.

Where are VITA sites located?

Click here for a complete list of VITA sites.

Many VITA sites offer tax assistance in multiple languages including English, Spanish, Creole, and American Sign Language.
