Memorial Community Member
This edition of The Soldier Sentinel brings you some important information in regards to our school improvement. This school year, Memorial Middle has been dedicated to making our school a safe, fun, educational facility where our students, parents and community feel like they are all integral to the Soldier Family.

To continue this effort, we need your feedback in our 2023-2024 Stakeholder Survey. Information is below on how to complete this survey and provide our school feedback. We appreciate everyone: mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, community members to take time and complete the survey.

As you take the survey, talk to your student and see how they feel about school as well. This is a great conversation to have with your student as we start to look towards next school year.

Thank you for your time and dedication to Memorial Middle School and we hope you enjoy our latest edition.

Wisdom to Live By for Our Soldiers
Patrick Mahomes On Growth
Every experience, good or bad, you have to learn from.
~ Patrick Mahomes, quarterback

Carl Weathers On Discipline
I really try to take care of myself. I really put forth the effort to make a regimen just a part of my life. When I can't, for instance if I'm in a location someplace and I can't work out because of the schedule of the picture or whatever it is, as much as I normally do when I'm home, I still do something.
~ Carl Weathers, actor

Rosa Parks On Courage
I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.
~ Rosa Parks, civil rights leader

Charles Barkley On Learning
Poor people cannot rely on the government to come to help you in times of need. You have to get your education. Then nobody can control your destiny.
~ Charles Barkley, basketball player

Abraham Lincoln On Striving
Whatever you are, be a good one.
~ Abraham Lincoln, 16th U.S. president

Denzel Washington On Effort
What are you doing extra? That's what counts. That's when you're working hard - when you're going above and over what's expected of you.
~ Denzel Washington, actor
