2015 Cabernet Franc
31% sourced from Eastern Oregon - Echo Ridge Vineyards & 69% sourced from Eastern Washington, Elephant Mountain
An incredibly powerful Cabernet Franc from that stellar 2015 "Vintage of a Lifetime". As you may know, Karl Dinger has often talked of combining 2 different vineyards, from 2 completely different terroir, into a single classic. If you've been a fan of the taste & quality of the 12 & 13 CF, or as Carole says "Karl's personal favorite the '07", the same could be said of 15, only much, much more lush, voluptuous and exotic. A classic, alluring nose of currant and pencil shavings, a gamey meatiness, a hint of tobacco and of course, leather and then a deep rich palate of blue berries, chocolate and tart red fruits- talk about depth! Further barrel aging means liquid velvet, mark my words.
Entirely sourced from Eastern WA, Elephant Mountain
Winemaker, Karl Dinger, predicts that this wine will easily surpass the '05 Terra Madre Sangiovese in power, elegance and pure delectability. At a little over 6 months in the barrel, this Sangiovese is already rich, opulent, silky and sumptuous. Early results are in: luscious, mouthwateringly delicious. Intensely pleasurable with fig, plum and an overabundance of strawberry and a slightly meaty character. Barrel aging for another year will render these same features as silky smooth as a baby's bottom.
