Remembering Sister Cecilia Wallace Sister Cecilia Wallace passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 91. She was a beloved educator, an accomplished administrator, and a dear friend to many. Mary Cecilia Wallace entered the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at Saratoga, California. During her 73 years as a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, she touched the lives of countless people. Trinity Washington University Celebrates 125th Anniversary On October 28th, Trinity Washington University celebrated its 125th anniversary. Trinity, the country's first Catholic liberal arts college for women, was founded in 1897, by Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Its founders had to defy opposition from within the Church to advocate for women's right to education. Since then, it has continued to grow as a center of learning. Jubilee Celebration in Worcester On October 29th, at Notre Dame du Lac in Worcester, Mass., a celebration was held in honor of 2021 and 2022 Jubilarians! We thank these amazing Sisters for their many years of service as Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Learn more here!
