On October 28th, Trinity Washington University celebrated its 125th anniversary. Trinity, the country's first Catholic liberal arts college for women, was founded in 1897, by Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Its founders had to defy opposition from within the Church to advocate for women's right to education. Since then, it has continued to grow as a center of learning.
