VT Humanities

On forgetting

We are who we are thanks to memory, yet it is forgetting that allows us to navigate through life. Reflect on losing memory in art, literature, history, and politics with Ilan Stavans, renowned essayist, professor, translator, and publisher, in a VT Humanities event at the Norwich Public Library. 5/21/25 produced by Bea Couser for JAM.

Memorial Day

In remembrance

Norwich commemorated Memorial Day with a parade and ceremony organized by American Legion Post #8, which stopped at Fairview Cemetery and Tracy Hall. Hartford American Legion Post #26 and Jeffery S. Holmes Post #84 organized a parade and ceremonies, which stopped at Veteran’s Memorial Park. 5/26/25 produced by Rick Russell for JAM.

Performance

Music in the air!

Celebrate Upper Valley music and listen to the excellent Lebanon High School spring concert showcase, where the orchestra, choir, and jazz band performed genre-spanning pieces, calypso music, classical tunes, and songs from familiar greats such as Ella Fitzgerald. 5/20/25 produced by Jordyn Fitch for JAM.
