DODD Prepares for COVID-19
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) remains dedicated to health and public safety as the department responds to coronavirus (COVID-19).

DODD has set up a dedicated web page for department communications and links to helpful resources that will advise people with disabilities, their families, service providers, direct support professionals, county boards of developmental disabilities, and the community at large.

Additionally, DODD support teams are available and consist of staff ready to help county boards and providers.

DODD Events Postponed
In response to the evolving situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), Governor Mike DeWine issued an executive order March 9 that restricts travel for all employees of state agencies, boards, and commissions who are traveling on behalf of the state.

Online events, such as DODD Live Chats and webinars, will continue as scheduled. View more of the department's events .

County Board Cost Report Training

The annual DODD county board cost report training, which was scheduled for March 18 at the Xenos Center in Columbus, has been canceled. An alternative plan for training will be communicated at a later date. 

'Foundations for Success' Training Series

The training series formerly known as “Back to Basics” has been re-branded as “Foundations for Success.”

The first two sessions slated for April 2 in Cuyahoga County and April 3 in Franklin County are canceled. DODD will communicate any future session cancellations in the upcoming weeks.

National Core Indicators Interviews

DODD and Ohio State University Nisonger Center have postponed the National Core Indicators (NCI) Adult In-Person Interviews through April 10. Over the next week, the NCI interviewers will be calling to reschedule these interviews for a later date.

Extension: Outcome Tracking System
Attention: Adult Day and Employment Providers, DCs, ICFs
In response to COVID-19, and the shift in priorities to ensure health and safety, the Outcome Tracking System (OTS) deadline is extended to May 31, 2020.

Additionally, OTS resources and tools. are available online. Reach out to your regional Community Life Engagement Project Manager with questions.
New Remittance Address Effective April 15
Attention: COG Directors, County Boards, DCs, Ohio County Auditors
Effective April 15, there will be a new remittance address for all invoiced items from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
