Thursday, February 26, 2026, 7PM

Thursday night, February 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in the Main Church at Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St. Quincy, MA 02171.

Throughout Lent, we will gather in the Main Church as we continue our annual tradition of praying the Stations of the Cross, also known as The Way of the Cross.

It’s a sacred walk through the Passion of our Lord… a powerful opportunity to reflect, to draw closer, and to renew our faith together.

Join us and bring a friend along the journey.

____________________________________________________

As we enter the Second Week of Lent, our journey deepens. What started as an invitation now becomes a calling, not simply to observe Lent, but to be transformed by it.

We continue this sacred season as Catholic men called to renewal, not just in word, but deep within our hearts. This is our time to return to the Heart of Jesus, through prayer that draws us closer to Him, fasting that reorders our desires, and almsgiving that opens our hands to others.

Lent asks us to release what weighs us down, the habits, the noise, the distance from God, and to rekindle the grace that was first breathed into us at Baptism.

These forty days are meant to restore us, so that when Easter arrives, we don’t simply celebrate the Resurrection, we live it renewed, restored, and alive in Christ.

The Boston Catholic Men's Conference 2026

The theme of this years conference is from John 6:68.

"To Whom Shall We Go"

From Peter’s words to Jesus in John 6:68: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

It is the cry of a man who has realized that nothing else satisfies. When every other option falls short, when the world’s answers prove empty, this question becomes a declaration of faith.

Jesus alone is our hope.

This is your opportunity to invite men to an amazing Holy Spirit filled day that can change lives and families.

Discounted tickets are available through March 1st!!!!

Every weekday, the Men of Divine Mercy posts the new Saint of the Day from

Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio

Saint of the Day for February 25

(January 20, 1502 – February 25, 1600)

Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio’s Story

Sebastian’s roads and bridges connected many distant places. His final bridge-building was to help men and women recognize their God-given dignity and destiny.

Sebastian’s parents were Spanish peasants. At the age of 31, he sailed to Mexico, where he began working in the fields. Eventually he built roads to facilitate agricultural trading and other commerce. His 466-mile road from Mexico City to Zacatecas took 10 years to build and required careful negotiations with the indigenous peoples along the way.

In time Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio was a wealthy farmer and rancher. At the age of 60, he entered a virginal marriage. His wife’s motivation may have been a large inheritance; his was to provide a respectable life for a girl without even a modest marriage dowry. When his first wife died, he entered another virginal marriage for the same reason; his second wife also died young.

At the age of 72, Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio distributed his goods among the poor and entered the Franciscansas a brother. Assigned to the large (100-member) friary at Puebla de los Angeles south of Mexico City, Sebastian went out collecting alms for the friars for the next 25 years. His charity to all earned him the nickname “Angel of Mexico.”

Sebastian was beatified in 1787 and is known as a patron of travelers.

While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them,

“This generation is an evil generation;

it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,

except the sign of Jonah.

Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites,

so will the Son of Man be to this generation.

At the judgment

the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation

and she will condemn them,

because she came from the ends of the earth

to hear the wisdom of Solomon,

and there is something greater than Solomon here.

At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation

and condemn it,

because at the preaching of Jonah they repented,

and there is something greater than Jonah here.”
