Advent 2020 at St. Paul's Church

Social Media starting Sunday, November 29th
  • Calling all photographers: #AdventWord is a global online Advent Calendar where Christians around the world post photos using these daily themes. St. Paul's will be participating this year by posting photos on social media and we encourage you to as well! We'll email out more information within the coming days.
  • Calling all colorers: St. Paul's will also be posting as we color our "Slow Down. Be Quiet. It's Advent." calendars, and we encourage you to share photos of how you colored your calendar in the comments below our post each day on Facebook. If you would like to have an Advent calendar mailed to you, please email

Advent Wreaths
  • In the coming days, we will be sending out tips for having your own Advent Wreath at home. We'll share some ideas for making your own wreath, as well as prayers that can be said as you light each candle.

  • Our online Advent Bible Study will be held on Wednesdays at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. See below for more information.

Daily Video Meditations
  • In place of our daily Morning Prayer videos, we will be offering daily Advent Meditations videos. Tune in each day to enjoy the lighting of the St. Paul's Advent Wreath and personal reflections on Advent from clergy and lay persons. Videos will be posted here and on Facebook, Monday through Saturday.

Sunday Worship
  • Our Sunday worship services during Advent will include a special treat - artist Paul Oman's "Drawn to the Word" videos. You can learn more about Paul and his ministry here.
Diocesan Convention

The Episcopal Church of NH's annual Diocesan Convention was held virtually Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th. You can find videos and/or transcripts of the business meeting, the keynote speaker's address, Bishop Rob's address, election results, and resolutions passed here.

Watch the incredibly uplifting video below to see how congregations across the diocese (including St. Paul's!) have continued to serve their parishioners and their communities during the pandemic.

A giant THANK YOU to everyone who supported our Thanksgiving Basket and Giving Tree ministries this year. Thanks to your generosity, St. Paul's was able to assist 36 Thanksgiving Basket families and 27 children of Giving Tree families. We were overwhelmed by the rapid outpouring of support for both of these programs. You have lightened the load for these Food Pantry clients and helped make the holiday season a more joyful time for local families in need.
Men's (Just Supper!) Group

St. Paul's Men's (Just Supper!) Group will be gathering online monthly starting in December. If you're not familiar with this fellowship ministry, the gentlemen of St. Paul's gather (typically in person, this year, on Zoom) without agenda for a time of light social fellowship. During these isolating winter months, we need community more than ever. All men are invited to participate.

The December gathering will be on December 7th at 6:00 pm. An invitation will be sent to all of our regular members via email with a Zoom link to the meeting. If you know of someone who may be interested in joining the group, please forward a copy of the email invitation, cc'ing John Cabibi or
Advent Formation Series

Join us online for a four-week Advent discussion series! We'll be using the Bible Study prompts from the Episcopal Church as well as sharing visual meditations from #AdventWord.

We will be offering two groups
  • Wednesdays at 10:00 am
  • Wednesdays at 6:00 pm

Dates: Wednesday, December 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd

Please email if you're interested in joining us!
