Greetings from NNJR President Larry Klioze
Dear Chaverim,
I am just starting to come down from the excitement of being installed as President of NNJR. It was a wonderful evening, and I will remember it for a long time. It was great to see everyone there: the incoming, outgoing and continuing Exec Board members and cub presidents, and of course, all the people who came out to support us. Thank you to Seth Arbital and the entire President’s Dinner committee for putting together a fantastic program!
This is an exciting moment not just for our region, but for our entire organization. We are on the cusp of the 2025 FJMC International Convention—a unique opportunity to gather, learn, and be inspired by Jewish men from across North America and beyond. Convention is more than just a few days of programming; it’s where friendships are forged, ideas are shared, and the spirit of our mission is renewed. I look forward to leading our delegation into the Opening Ceremony as we cheer louder than any other region!
When we return from Convention, I want to hit the ground running. We will get to work planning activities for the upcoming year. Of course, we will have our usual signature programs like Man of the Year, World Wide Wrap and Yom HaShoah Yellow Candles. We need to start planning next year’s Multi-Region Retreat – kind of like a small convention with our brothers from Middle Atlantic, NY Metropolitan, and Hudson Valley Regions. We will look to continue popular social activities like Super Charged Go Karts. We will also consider adding new and exciting programs. If you have any ideas for one, send them to me.
Thank you for your support and your commitment to our shared mission. I look forward to working with all of you to make this a year of growth, connection, and meaning.
B’Shalom,
Larry Klioze

At every biennial FJMC convention, each region honors one man who has been a Masim Tovim, a man of “Good Deeds” or “Good Acts”. This year the Northern New Jersey Region is proud to have chosen Rob Blitzer as its 2024-2025 Maasim Tovim. Rob has been an integral part of the FJMC for many years. He rose through the ranks of the Regional Board over many years and took on many committee chairmanships and tasks. Most notably has been his work on our Biennial retreats for many years. His work for NNJR culminated with becoming President of the Region in 2020. This was a particularly difficult time to become President because of the COVID pandemic. At that time most of the clubs in the Region had gone dormant and Regional business had ground to a halt. But Rob got us moving in an online direction reestablishing connections with the clubs and engaging the Regional Board in the business of FJMC. Rob continues to be involved in the Region mentoring future leaders and working on future retreats.
On the FJMC level Rob has been a co-Chair of the annual FJMC Leadership Development Institute(LDI). LDI brings together men who lead their Regions from across the United States for training to continue building a better FJMC. Most recently Rob has been a co-Programming Chairman for the FJMC Biennial Convention being held July 3-6 in Chicago IL. The “Convention” brings together 400 men from across the nation and Canada for camaraderie, learning and fun. Rob was instrumental in planning the master schedule of the conventions events and seminars.
Mazal Tov and Yasher Koach to Rob Blitzer in being selected as 2023-2025 Northern New Jersey Maasim Tovim.

Congratulations to Our Incoming Presidents and Board Members
Many of you may remember that for the last several years, the Northern New Jersey region of the FJMC has run a raffle at our annual president’s dinner and we have invited all our clubs to participate..
This year, the FJMC is going big! Instead of a regional one, there will be a nationwide drawing at our biennial convention coming up in Chicago in early July (interested in that? Click https://convention.fjmc.org/2025-chicago/
for more information). Based on the amount of all the ticket sales, sizable prizes will be awarded to the winners, with the remainder supporting our clubs. So all ticket sales through the below link will provide direct support to our region and clubs locally to provide all the programming and services you’ve come to enjoy and expect.
Scan the QR code in this flyer or click on this link to go to our region’s ticket page:
https://causematch.com/fjmc/nnj/
When you go to check out, choose “Northern NJ” as your region and then enter the club you’re affiliated with. That will ensure they get the appropriate credit for your entry.
Thank you for your participation and support, and good luck!!

The HPCT-CAE Men’s Club is hosting our semi-annual Blood Drive on Sunday, July 27, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Blood donations are always needed, but especially so during the summer when people are on vacation. Remember, one pint of blood can save 3 lives. Our current NNJR President has received blood transfusions to save his life. Come and donate to save someone's life!
At our last Blood Drive in January, The HPCT-CAE Men’s Club was honored by the NY Blood Center for having collected over 1500 units of blood at our drives over the years.
