Men’s Health Awareness Month: A Time to Prioritize Mental Wellness | | This November, we’re joining the global movement to raise awareness around men’s health—particularly mental health. While physical health often takes center stage, emotional well-being deserves just as much attention. At RCBM, we’re committed to breaking the stigma and making sure men of all ages feel supported and seen. | | Blog Spotlight: Men and Mental Health | | In this thoughtful post, RCBM dietetic student Isaac Francis shares why so many men struggle in silence, and what we can do about it. From cultural conditioning to fear of vulnerability, men often face unique barriers when it comes to seeking help. But with the right support, change is possible. | | | Spotlight: Honoring the Men of RCBM | | |
This month, we’d also like to recognize and thank the male clinicians and administrative staff who are part of the RCBM team. Your dedication, empathy, and commitment to supporting mental health do not go unnoticed.
From the therapy room to the front desk, your presence helps create a compassionate and welcoming environment for all. Thank you for the care you bring to our patients and the heart you bring to our workplace.

| | Give Back with RCBM This Season | | As the holidays approach, RCBM is proud to support two important community efforts - and we invite you to join us. | | |
🥫 Holiday Food Drive with Gleaners
We’re partnering with Gleaners Community Food Bank to help fight food insecurity across Michigan.
You can support this initiative in two ways:
- Drop off nonperishable food items at RCBM (collection runs through December)
- Make a monetary donation online - every $1 provides 3 meals!

As federal food assistance continues to fall short of need, your generosity helps us support the communities we serve.

🧼 Hygiene Drive for Teen Clean Closet
We’re also collecting hygiene items in support of Teen Clean Closet, an Oakland County nonprofit, founded by RCBM's Billing Manager, Erica McEvoy, providing personal care essentials to local youth and families.
RCBM patients can drop off full-size, unopened items like:
- Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (all hair types)
- Deodorant, period products, and skin care items
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and lip balm
- Hairbrushes, combs, hair products, and accessories
- Laundry detergent and nail care products
📦 Look for the donation bin in the RCBM lobby.

This recipe is RCBM dietitian-approved and comes with a side of gratitude from Emma Diedrich, MS, RDN:
“I'm thankful for my amazing family, wonderful friends, and of course, my cats (they definitely keep life interesting)... I'm especially thankful for the chance to connect with people every day and play a small part in their stories.”

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we’re reminded of the power of gratitude, connection, and reflection. We’re grateful to our patients, colleagues, and community for allowing us to be part of your journey.
