The Leadership Menomonie group learned all about the educational opportunities right here in our community on January 16. Their day started out at Chippewa Valley Technical College, where Dan Lytle gave a presentation on generational differences in the workplace. The next educational stop was at University Wisconsin - Stout where Doug Mel gave them history of the college as well as opportunities and statistics. It was a very cold walking tour but very informative of the University Wisconsin - Stout campus.
The afternoon started at Menomonie High School where the group was able to meet the new Principal, Casey Drake. It was finals testing but Casey gave a very informative tour showcasing the educational programming offered at Menomonie High School. The group returned to Chippewa Valley Technical College to hear from Margo Keyes with information on the referendum that will be on the April ballot.
The group ended their time together at Brewery Nonic where they learned about the business, what the business underwent to get up and running and the history of the building. They also had time to learn more about each other and networked.
