A Message from our ED

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

The AMAAD Institute has a particular focus on behavioral, emotional, and mental health. We invite you to connect with our dynamic Behavioral Health Team this month and every month!

As we move into Pride Month, we are excited to celebrate all summer. Our theme this year is Unapologetically Black and Proud! We would love to invite you to march with us this year in the official LA Pride Parade on Sunday, June 11. To join us, find out more information, and get your free t-shirt, see details below.

Join us for our second annual Summit of Our Tribes, a conference gathering of leaders, organizations, and community members committed to the health and wellness of the Black LGBTQ+ community, on June 29 and 30. Register today at the link below! You don't want to miss this year.

Also, stay tuned for more information about AMAAD’s Health, Housing, and Hope Golf Classic 2023! Contact Ted Booker at [email protected] for more information and how to be a part of this remarkable event.

The AMAAD Institute could not do this work without you and your voice matters! We invite you to complete the Black LGBTQ+ Mental Health Matters survey. Your participation helps provide recommendations on how to provide services that better respond to the needs of the community.

We could not do any of this amazing work without an amazing team! To be a part of the AMAAD Squad, check out our job opportunities at www.amaad.org!

Stay connected to all the great things happening at AMAAD at www.amaad.org!

I look forward to seeing you soon,

LA Pride Parade

The AMAAD Institute is proud to say that we are "Unapologetically B(LA)CK & Proud." With our facility in Watts, CA our facility is uniquely planted in Urban Culture. We are proud to take up space and show love as we nurture the community we love. So to kick off Pride we want to show up and show out and show the world, what South LA is all about. Please join the AMAAD Squad at the LA Pride Parade. Click the link below to save your spot.
