May is
Mental Health
Awareness
Month
The NOMC understands the unique challenges and opportunities faced working in the music industry. Pre-pandemic studies documented that, on average, musicians earn less than the average American, face higher rates of discrimination and harassment, and disproportionally struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Over the past year, as we've collectively endured challenges and performers were separated from their calling and livelihoods, the importance of discussing these struggles and providing outlets for support has taken center stage.

Current reports show that mental illness among adults is increasing and addiction levels are on the rise in performing arts communities. As the music industry gets back in swing, the Musicians' Clinic will be here every step of the way to provide quality care, community, and connection.

We believe everyone deserves emotional well-being. That's why Musicians' Clinic patients receive access to a wide range of mental health providers regardless of their insurance status. Your support continues and furthers the reach of our accessible, wraparound behavioral health services that provide treatment for New Orleans' beloved cultural community members.
Every $75 provides one mental health session for an NOMC patient.
All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Supporting Mental Health Care For Artists
Since February, we've waived patient co-pays for ALL mental health services and appointments, making it easier than ever for artists to access treatment options and the care they need.
We plan to do this throughout 2021, but need your help now. Become a sustaining donor.
We've added over a dozen new providers and expanded services through our full time Social Worker (eg. housing assistance, financial help, health navigation, substance use recovery services).
Supportive partnerships allow for greater positive impact. Agencies like MusiCares and the New Orleans Theatre Association help bolster clinical and community health resources, while generous partners like the Band Together Productions LLC Fund help provide housing security to ensure safety and peace of mind.
