There are many ways in which people describe well being. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines well-being as the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy. Psychologists may define well being as good mental health, high life satisfaction, the ability to manage stress and resiliency. It involves happiness, mindfulness, and positive thinking.
I think it is human nature to strive to improve our well being. We can do this each day through our thoughts, actions and experiences. While it may not always be easy, it can be simple.
A lot of the adjectives used above are also words and phrases used to describe the Zentangle Method and how we feel when creating art. Through the Zentangle Method, many of us have learned to manage stress, focus, think positively through gratitude and appreciation and become resilient through the No Mistakes philosophy.
Creativity is a wonderful tool to use to improve our overall well-being and the Zentangle Method offers an easy and accessible way to channel that creativity.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month and improving our overall well being, we are going to set out on an exploration of the tangle
