Sunday, May 2nd, JFS hosted a Virtual Broadway event to share The Healing Power of Music with stars and musicians from Broadway, in support of JFS programs that heal our community. Money raised through the event provided critically needed support for mental health and case management services; as an added benefit, this event was an opportunity to hire and support Broadway performers and creators while the pandemic forces theaters to remain dark.
It was a very special evening including pre-show meet & greets, a custom JFS-themed opening number, outstanding musical performances, a look inside the recording studio with Broadway Sinfonietta, and meaningful personal stories about the Healing Power of Music. While we wish we could have been together, Virtual Broadway provided an exciting alternative that offered healing and connection in a unique and special way.

JFS COMPASS was awarded the Network of Jewish Human Service Agency’s 2021 Pillar of Excellence Award in the Innovation category. Award winners were recognized during the NJHSA Virtual Conference, Responsive. Resilient. Reimagining Together!, on April 20, 2021, which was attended by more than 1,000 agency executives, professionals, and lay leaders.
