Get Out and Enjoy Spring

April brings fine weather for enjoying outdoor activities.

Those on campus are invited to use some of the walks from our campus maps.

In and around Cleveland, there are so many opportunities to hike, bike, walk and run. Some great options can be found on Cleveland.com.
Mental Health In the Forefront this Spring
In this 8-week series with our partners from Impact Solutions, managers and individuals will learn more about a wide variety of mental health illnesses and concerns. Topics range from understanding trauma, to dealing with opiate use. A full list of topics and dates is on the Wellness Website. Please note that the times/days of this series alternate with each week, mostly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays over the lunch hour.

Remember all of our classes are on Zoom and will be recorded. So even if you cannot attend live, which is preferred, you can watch later in the week and that will count as attendance! Participants in this series can attest to the Stress Management Incentive.
Attestation Forms are OPEN in HCM
Those who have completed at least 85% of the sessions in any of the 2021 Wellness programs, may now complete the applicable Wellness Program Incentive form in HCM. Examples include those who have completed at least 7 classes in:
  • Fundamentals of Meditation
  • Forever Fit (Weight Loss series)
  • Release, Relax and Reach
And those who have exercised at least three times a week for the first 12 weeks in 2021 may complete the Physical Activity form.

Not sure if you attended enough sessions, contact Mary Ann with the name of the program you attended and she will verify!
Men's Health Series Continues with Mental Health and Nutrition

In the second of our men's health panel discussions featuring doctors from University Hospitals Cutler Center for Men, we will focus on mental health issues and nutrition specific to men. Join in on the discussion and feel free to submit your questions in advance.

Vini Yoga Levels 1 and 2 Are Back
Vini Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga. it is a great fit for those new to the practice or those with physical limitations.

Join the April Sleep Challenge
Sign up for this 4-week challenge, which will help you focus on and improve your sleep. Each week, participants will be given a specific healthy sleep behavior to focus on for that week, such as engaging in a body scan meditation before going to sleep each night.
Prizes are available to those who send in their sleep chart to Mary Ann each week. Learn more about good sleep and focus on small changes you can make to sleep better, and feel better.
Each week, those who send in their sleep logs are eligible for prizes!

The April Sleep Challenge Starts on Monday, April 5.
Try Core and More at Lunchtime

Take 45 minutes at lunchtime on Thursdays for a Core and More class. This series combines core strengthening with whole body stretching. It can be completed anywhere you have space to stretch out! Other than a workout mat or large towel, no equipment is necessary. Each week the core exercises will become a bit more challenging. And all participants will be given weekly stretching homework!
