Practicing Mindfulness with Kasie Wallace

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.

Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future. (Jon Kabat-Zin, Berkeley University of California, 2023)

In addition to the six free counseling sessions through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees and their family members (spouse and children) have access to a mental health virtual therapist.

Appointment Windows:
Tuesdays - 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Thursdays - 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

A representative will connect you with a professional that fits your needs so you can schedule a free appointment.
