May is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month and a time to spotlight the importance of caring for every child and young adult’s emotional health. It’s important to know that mental health is equally important as physical health, as you cannot have one without the other.
We hope you and your family find this month’s podcast beneficial as we strive to promote mental health education and support with the goal of decreasing the stigma that is often associated with mental health. *Note: The podcast episodes work best using Google Chrome.*

Cope Notes, a free service for Orange County employees, uses daily text messaging to improve mental and emotional health through:
  • Repetition - The more often you think a thought, the more likely you are to think it again
  • Disruption - These texts interrupt negative thought patterns, reinforcing healthy habits
  • Adaptation - Your brain will form neural pathways associated with coping skills and resilience

86% of users report improved mental health within 30 days.
We highly recommend that you do NOT unsubscribe from Orange County Government Human Resources emails as this will also unsubscribe you from important information about benefits enrollment, required training, etc.
