Mental Health Training Available to MSA Members

MSA is pleased to offer members The Working Mind – Trades, an evidence-based mental health training course designed specifically for workers in the trades. Participants will explore mental health and stigma, the Mental Health Continuum, stress management, and practical strategies for building resilience.

The course will take place virtually on October 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is available exclusively to MSA members. Due to limited space, participation is limited to one employee per member company per session.

As a member benefit, MSA will cover the cost of the course.

Interested members are asked to complete a registration form to indicate their interest in the course. If selected, course details and next steps will be provided directly by Jay Lamont, the course facilitator.

Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

WorkSafe Saskatchewan Regional Workshop

Join WorkSafe Saskatchewan in Yorkton on October 15 for a full day of learning and networking with employers, safety professionals, and industry leaders. The workshop will explore workplace safety, psychological health and safety, return-to-work practices, regulatory updates, and emerging trends in safety leadership.

Risk Assessments & Job Hazard Analysis Webinar

Join us on September 3 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Sask Time) for our Risk Assessments & Job Hazard Analysis webinar.

Learn how to identify workplace hazards, conduct effective risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and apply the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk. We'll also cover documenting and maintaining JHAs to support safer work procedures and a proactive workplace safety culture.
