NEW Mentorship Program for
Nonprofit Staff, Board Members, and Volunteers!

 MentWorks is for anyone interested in  serving as a mentor to others in the nonprofit sector as a staff member, board member, or volunteer; as well as for thosewho are  seeking a mentor in any of these roles. It is also for organizations seeking to  implement or improve upon their own mentoring program for staff, board members, and/or clients.

The Introductory Session will be held in Newport News (Denbigh), however, mentor/mentee matches will be made based on your location. If you are interested in serving as a Mentor, we hope to see you Friday as well!

Elder Abuse Prevention Workshops -
Peninsula Agency on Aging  is offering two Elder Abuse Prevention workshops specifically designed for clergy, lay leaders and pastoral care staff/volunteers. Attendees will learn to identify when one of their members might be experiencing elder abuse and how to address the situation.

Newport News –  June 13  - 8:30-11:00 am, Peninsula Baptist Association

Williamsburg –  June 20  - 8:30 - 11:00 am, St Martin’s Episcopal Church

Workforce Education Scholarships  - The  Williamsburg Community Foundation  provides scholarships for students planning to attend college or technical school toward a certificate or associates degree in automotive technology, CAD, electronics, heating & air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, mechatronics & machining, or plumbing may apply.
