Mentorship is a partnership where can have real conversation with someone invested in helping you to individualize your journey. We have programs that offer your many different forms of mentorship as you work towards building what we believe are necessary skills for success.

The program below are highlighted because of their connection to business and the experiences that have changed the lives of business students.

Join For FALL 2021
Gramling Mentorship Program

The goal of the Gramling Mentorship Program is to create an experience where undergraduates and graduates learn how to value and engage in meaningful mentorship relationships. Students will learn the value of investing in others and how that can lead to lifelong partnerships, friendships, and successes. Every experience will be designed with intentionality to create strong mentors impacting the experience of others beyond graduation.

Undergraduate students in the Gramling Mentorship Program are paired with UConn School of Business graduate mentors based on their field/industry of interest. Undergrad students earn 1-credit of BUSN 1801 for participation in the program.
Financial Management

Students are mentored by a professional Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) through the Hartford CFA Society, through a 1-credit course, BUSN 1801.

This is available to majors in Financial Management and is recommended for the sophomore or junior years.
Global Business Ambassadors

Global Business Ambassadors are UConn students who have taken advantage of the School of Business Global Programs experiential learning programs.

They are invested in helping other students Find Your UConn through these programs.

Management Ambassadors

Management Ambassadors share their experiences to advise current and prospective students on how the management major and experience can help you
Alumni
Mentorship

Our School of Business alumni are engaged and ready to help students grow into strong professionals. Alumni participate in a variety of programs to connect with you.

By joining student organizations, attending department events and networking with staff and faculty in the School of Business, you will get to know many alumni. There are many specific programs available to help you connect. Keep up with your email for future invitations.

Peer Advisors

School of Business Undergraduate Peer Advisors, while are not formal mentors like these other program, do help lots of business and non-business students consider how to Find Your UConn. If you are not ready to apply for a formal program but want to talk to another business student motivated to help you, come and meet virtually or in-person with these students.
