“It is an immense privilege to be part of a community based on love.”

Mission Statement
The Zip Code Contemplation(ZCC) program invites prior retreatants to stay connected with Mepkin Abbey and engage with others to deepen the contemplative dimension of their lives.
Our goal is to provide both community and content
to foster and focus our contemplative practice.
Discussion Content for All Beginning ZCC Meetings
All new Zip Code Contemplation Groups will begin with the same
structured format to discuss
Br. Don Bisson FMS's audio workshop,
"Individuation:Beyond Happy and Normal."

Through exploring Brother Bisson's personal website and downloading the resources for the group, you will have a clearer understanding about the material that we will be discussing.
ZCC Program Overview
A group of 6-10 persons, who shared in a common retreat experience, come together monthly for 60-90 minutes virtually led by a trained convener, identified from their group

Prior to the meeting, each participant listens to an audio presentation on a pre-selected topic followed by 15 minutes of contemplative journaling

During the meeting, participants share one highlight that touched them during the presentation without crosstalk…then journaling…sharing…group silence…and closing

After the meeting, participants are encouraged to connect with those who share a common interest or live in the same area
ZCC is a response to listening to retreatants:
"I'm looking for a way to stay connected to a community of meaning."

"I have no one with whom I can continue this conversation with when I get home."

"For me to grow spiritually, I need community support."

"How can I take what I experience here and bring it to my daily life?"
