NURSING PRACTICE AND LABOR
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
In your new contract, JNESO has negotiated new Labor Management Meeting language. This meeting will be held on the same day as the Nursing Practice Committee Meeting. These are two separate meetings each lasting about one hour in length.

Members will have an opportunity to discuss contractual issues and nursing practice issues with management.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT, CONCERNS & PARTICIPATION!

The meetings will be held during your hours of work and you will not use PTO hours to attend. We are looking for volunteers to provide testimony with your concerns!
EYE-ON-YOUR-(NEW)-CONTRACT
ARTICLE 8: NURSING PRACTICE AND
LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Section 1: The parties agree to maintain a Nursing Practice and Labor Management Committee (“NPLMC”) which shall concern itself with matters related to professional nursing practice, including, but not limited to, productivity issues and matters of interest in the improvement of the Employer’s nursing operations.

Section 2: Structure of the Committee: The NPLMC shall consist of up to four (4) members. Each of the parties to this Agreement shall appoint no less than two (2) members to serve on the Committee on an annual basis. Each member will serve a two-year term, and new members will be appointed on alternate years and may serve consecutive terms.

Section 3: Meetings shall be held at mutually agreed times and shall be scheduled every three months at the same specified date and time no more than 2 hours unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.. The members of the Local attending such committee meetings shall not lose time or pay for time so spent.

Section 4: It is not a function of the Committee to concern itself with matters subject to grievance or negotiations. Agenda items will be shared with both parties a week prior to the meeting. Minutes will be taken by the Local Designee.

Section 5: The parties agree that the Committee will be advisory and communicative in nature. All recommendations will be strongly considered and implementation depends on majority approval. Matters discussed regarding Nursing Practice shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
We are working to schedule our first Nursing Practice and Labor Management Committee Meetings in May.
