Treasure Hunt 2018 - Congrat's to Team Finders for being first on the ball
Tom Munzig and Cory Nikolaus's team, the "Finders," took home the 2018 Treasure Hunt Trophy! We can't wait to see how they'll top this year's challenge, which had a theme of the  Cast Away movie with finding "Wilson" the objective of the event. Enthusiastic participation made for great fun.
A huge thank you goes out to last year's winners, Eric Caris and extended family, for an amazing job organizing and planning. The event included a team name and corresponding flag construction, coconut throw (bocce ball), spear fishing (darts), movie trivia sprint, phrase unscramble, clue coordinates, Morse Code directions and finally, a swim/paddle dash across the cove to mooring B5 to rescue poor ol' Wilson and the Treasure Box key taped to his authentic red volleyball face.  The challenges were hard, and the competition was fierce, but ultimately Team Finders prevailed.  Congrats to Tom Munzig and crew of Cory Nikolaus and three of his boys. A special thank you to all participants for making this another memorable Treasure Hunt event on the island.

A new club overview brochure design is underway, and we're looking for your best photos of events, boating, snorkeling, Howland's Landing, racing, action, and fun. You know what makes the club life exciting to you and we'd like to share that in the new brochure. We can even use some short videos to help jazz things up on the web pages and social media. People are a a key aspect, not just land- and water-scapes. To keep it simple, just reply to this email and attach a few files for consideration. Please give captions and names where available. If they're already posted on one of the club's shared drives, just let us know which are your favorites.
