Applicable to: Mercy Care Complete Care, Mercy Care Long Term Care, Mercy Care RBHA, and Division of Developmental Disabilities
Effective 10/1/2018, Mercy Care's Provider Manual will be changing with the implementation of our AHCCCS Complete Care contract. Changes are as follows:
We are combining all Medicaid Lines of Business into one Provider Manual. Rather than maintain three separate manuals (Mercy Care Complete Care, Mercy Care Long Term Care and Mercy Care RBHA), they were combined into one manual, as several elements were the same throughout all the manuals. Below are the main chapters of the manual:
Chapter 100 - Mercy Care Provider Manual - General Terms
This contains all elements that are the same for all lines of business - Mercy Care Complete Care, Mercy Care Long Term Care and Mercy Care RBHA.
Chapter 200 - Mercy Care Complete Care Provider Manual - Plan Specific Terms
General Mental Health/Substance Use/Behavioral Health services were moved from the Mercy Care RBHA Provider Manual to the Mercy Care Complete Care chapter.
Chapter 300 - Mercy Care Long Term Care Provider Manual - Plan Specific Terms
Plan specific terms remain the same, only general terms were moved under the Mercy Care Provider Manual - General Terms.
Chapter 400 - Mercy Care RBHA Provider Manual - Plan Specific Terms
General Mental Health/Substance Use information was taken out of the old Provider Manual and moved to the MCC chapter.
The Mercy Care Advantage Provider Manual will be a stand-alone manual but will be formatted the same as the Mercy Care Provider Manual on our website.
All changes made to the provider manuals are always highlighted in yellow in the document for your identification ease and convenience.
You will be able to access our Provider Manual on our Provider Manual web page.
As always, don't hesitate to contact your Mercy Care Provider Relations Representative with any questions or comments. You can find this notice and all other provider notices on our Mercy Care website.
