Thank you for your support of Mercy Health Foundation's 35th annual golf tournament presented by

Mercy Hospital Jefferson Medical Staff

to benefit patients with cancer at

Mercy Cancer Center Jefferson.

It was a beautiful day on October 9 for swinging the golf club, throwing bean bags, and doing cartwheels at Tapawingo National Golf Course. We had 34 teams, 135 golfers, 20 volunteers, and 5 courtesy tents on the course but most importantly Mercy Health Foundation raised over $52,000 to support patients at Mercy Cancer Center Jefferson. We are extremely grateful for your support and participation in this year's golf tournament.

We want to send a special thank you to our Chair of the Golf Tournament, Dr. Ben Albano and our Golf Planning Committee, Dr. Patricia Heller, Sara Govero, Lawrence Krodinger, Donna Masters, Mary Proffer, Lorna Gibbar and Bill Seek. Their time, talent and expertise helped ensure we had a successful event. They are making a big difference at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

Furthermore, we want to thank our dedicated volunteers who took time away from work to help on the day of the tournament.

The impact of your support

Last year, with money raised for the tournament we were able to support 200 patients with nutritional drinks and other nutritional needs to keep their bodies healthy to maintain strength and decrease side effects during and after cancer treatment, 83 women received screenings, diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds biopsies, MRI's or surgical consultations, and 22 patients received medications or treatment assistance that they would not have otherwise been able to afford.
